Kingsbridge will soon get $40,000 for a facelift at the intersection of 231st Street and Broadway and the surrounding area.
Councilman Andrew Cohen says the plan is to turn the neighborhood into a shopping destination.
Improvements will include new trash cans, benches and parking meters.
Cohen says his office will host a community walkthrough of the neighborhood to get more input from residents about what else should be done.
