Preschoolers at the Kingsbridge Learning Experience Center are fundraising for the Make-A Wish Foundation and learning how to give back to their community.
The children are learning about a character named Bubbles and his cross-country Road to Wishes trip. Bubbles' Road to Wishes is an initiative where The Learning Experience comes together across the nation to raise funds for the Make-A-Wish foundation to help grant the wishes of children with life-threatening medical conditions.
The Kingsbridge preschoolers have done a handful of fundraising activities over the last month, from bake sales to community walks for wishes.
They painted pumpkins for parents to bid on today. The proceeds from all the pumpkin bids will go to a local Make-A-Wish chapter.
Schools in the New York region have raised $14,000 in donations so far. As of last week, The Learning Experience has raised more than $300,000 for the Make-A-Wish Foundation.
