Library Hotspot program arrives in Mott Haven
The Library Hotspot, a Wi-Fi lending program, is allowing eligible patrons who do not have access to Internet service to use it free of charge in their homes.
The program arrived at the Mott Haven Library this week.
Patrons who will depend on the program for their Internet services can borrow a modem provided by the library for up to six months. It can then be renewed for another six months.
The city hopes to give out 10,000 devices by the end of the year and expand the program to more library branches.
