Lincoln Hospital uses dance therapy for cancer survivors
A dance party at Lincoln Hospital doubled as a healthy activity for breast cancer survivors who are currently in treatment at the facility.
The hospital's new Moving for Life program has been well-received by patients.
Health care professionals say it gets patients up and moving when they may feel fatigued from surgery or treatment.
Doctors say some cancer patients get depressed and grow sedentary.
The dance workout also helps improve mobility after treatments may cause swelling.
It runs every Monday from 1 to 2 p.m. at the hospital.
