The Clarke School held its second annual listening walk at the Bronx Zoo this weekend.
The school teaches students who are deaf or hard of hearing to speak and listen. The listening walk aims to raise funds and help bridge the divide for those with sensory disabilities.
Among the participants was Dexter, who can hear out of one ear -- but with a little help from his hearing aide, he can hear every animal in the zoo. His mother credits his development in part due to the Clarke School.
