Local leaders set annual Tour de Bronx in motion
Thousands of cyclists are ready to ride as local leaders set the annual Tour de Bronx in motion this week.
Borough President Rueben Diaz Jr. joined health officials at Montefiore Medical Center to count down to the big race on Oct. 14. Organizers say the event is a boost to the economy and gets residents thinking healthy.
Riders will start at the Bronx County building and end with a music festival at the New York Botanical Garden. They'll hit almost every part of the borough, including the Sheridan Expressway, Soundview Park and City Island.
