A massive sinkhole in Longwood has had neighbors frustrated for weeks.
Residents say the sinkhole on Longfellow Avenue has been there for seven weeks.
After an accident, residents took it upon themselves to warn others of the danger by putting cone barriers up to block the hole.
The hole sits in the middle of an active road with gas lines, a bike lane and a park nearby.
The Department of Environmental Protection told News 12 that someone would fix the sinkhole Thursday evening.
Councilman Rafael Salamanca Jr. said, "Since being made aware of this issue yesterday, my office generated and filed a complaint with the Department of Transportation. My office will continue to monitor the situation until its completion."
