Pelham Bay residents say a loud explosion rocked their community late Wednesday evening.
Police say it happened on Roberts Avenue around 8 p.m.
Police say there were two exploded aerosol cans equipped with detonators found under a car.
Police say one person was inside at the time, but no one was injured in the blast.
The boom was heard in a radius of several blocks.
A witness says she saw the car stopped at a stop sign after the blast. Both airbags were deployed and one of the rear tires was completely blown out.
