Loved ones mourn detective from the Bronx killed overseas 1 year ago
Loved ones, including members of the NYPD in the Bronx, are mourning the loss of a detective killed while serving overseas one year ago today. 
Detective Joseph Lemm was killed by a suicide bomber along with five other American troops in Afghanistan on Dec. 21, 2015.
Lemm was a 15-year NYPD veteran who served on the Bronx warrant squad since 2014. 
He lived in Westchester County.
He was a technical sergeant in the U.S. Air National Guard.
He left behind a wife and two children.
