Shoppers hit The Mall at Bay Plaza to score some Black Friday deals.

Shoppers say a lot of deals went on throughout they day, so they took their time getting to the mall. Others said they were motivated to shop after seeing friends and family post about deals on social media.

Despite online shopping being popular, many say there's nothing like going to the store to buy a present for themselves or a loved one.

Employees say they worked a long day – some fueled by coffee, commission incentives and a little holiday spirit.

Some shoppers said they would also visit some stores for Small Business Saturday.
