Man fatally shot at BX club, police seek gunman
Police are trying to track down the gunman who fatally shot a man in the head and torso outside a cabaret club in the Bronx.
According to police, shots rang out at around 4:30 a.m. Friday on Boston Road by Noell Avenue in the parking lot of The Key Club Cabaret.
Police say a 46-year-old man was shot following a dispute between at least two men.
Bouncers say they found the man lying on the ground in the clubs parking lot after they heard sounds of gunfire. They say he was bleeding, but still breathing at the time.
The victim was rushed to Montefiore Medical Center, where he later died.
According to officials, the gunman ran away after the shooting.
The manager of the club says the shooter was wearing a hood and that the club was closed at the time of the incident. He says he believes the perpetrator never entered the club, because his customers undergo a pat-down procedure before gaining entry into the building.
Investigators told News 12 they were able to collect extremely clear video of the entire incident from nearby auto body and construction warehouses. They say they will soon release the video to the public.
The club is currently open for business.
There is no word on the identity of the victim.
