A Bronx man was struck by two cars and killed in what police are calling a hit-and-run.
The incident happened on East 138th Street and Walton Avenue in Mott Haven Monday around 10:30 p.m.
Gabriel Garcia, 28, was pronounced dead at the hospital shortly after the incident, according to police.
An investigation revealed that a dark-colored sedan with a TLC license plate struck Garcia as he crossed East 138th Street before a 2017 Toyota Camry ran him over as he lay in the street.
Police say the driver of the Camry initially kept driving, but stopped and returned to the scene to speak with first responders.
The livery cab also stopped, according to police but took off toward the Grand Concourse.
Garcia's family spoke with News 12 and says they are praying for the driver of the cab to turn himself in.
Garcia's family says the young father also leaves behind a child.
