Man shot, robbed after leaving Bronx lounge
A man is recovering in the hospital after being shot and robbed while leaving a Bronx bar overnight.
According to police, the 39-year-old victim was heading out of Memories Lounge & Restaurant on Fenton Avenue at around 1:45 a.m. when he was shot in the left leg. Investigators say two suspects then robbed him of the gold chain he was wearing and ran away.
The owner of the lounge tells News 12 that he witnessed two men approach the victim and start an argument before the shooting. He doesn't believe the suspects ever entered the bar, saying they only stood in the foyer with their hoods up.
The victim was taken to Jacobi Medical Center where he is listed in stable condition.
Cops do not have descriptions of the suspects, except that they are both men. Anyone with information should call Crime Stoppers at 1-800-577-TIPS
