A Bronx man is calling for change after losing a loved one to gang violence.

In 2017, Cindy Diaz was caught in the crossfire of shots on Boston Road as she walked home. Police believe she was not the intended target.

The father of Diaz's four children, Angelica Rosario, says it is still tough to talk about her death, but there are steps to create change.

He says that a difference can be made only when it is recognized that gang violence is a systemic problem.

Rosario says people speaking out against gang violence gives him hope, and he thinks outrage can lead to positive results.
