Meadowlands Racetrack to have sports betting starting Saturday

Sports betting has been legal in New Jersey for about a month, and the Meadowlands is about to join those already involved.
The first batch of revenue numbers for sports betting came in very strong in the state.
In the first two weeks of sports betting through the end of June, there was more than $16 million wagered in New Jersey.
The state wound up taking in more than $3 million in gross revenue.
The Borgata and Monmouth Park started sports betting June 14, while Ocean Resort began June 28.
$10.1 million in bets was made on Major League Baseball games, $2.2 million in bets on soccer or the World Cup, and another $1 million on Future Events.
The Meadowlands Racetrack will have sports betting starting Saturday.
The "FanDuel Sportsbook" opens at 11 a.m.
