Mild temps a memory, snowmelt sales skyrocket
It's not 70 degrees anymore, much to the delight of hardware stores around the Bronx.
With one day until the borough's first snowstorm of the winter, sales at neighborhood hardware stores skyrocketed.
Customers at the Fordham Supply Company have been stocking up on snowmelt and shovels.
Mayor Bill de Blasio has advised city residents to stay off the roads this weekend. The Office of Emergency Management has also issued a hazardous travel advisory.
