Tenants at the Bronx River Houses were promised new computers and are still waiting for them to arrive more than two years later.
A $55,000 grant was allocated to the Bronx River Community Center back in 2017. These funds were secured by Bronx Borough President Ruben Diaz Jr.
"We want to know what's the holdup," said resident Nora Saunders.
This is the second year that the community center has been without computers. With school starting next week, staff say it's needed more than ever.
The center serves more than 100 kids on average, and the majority of them attend their after-school program.
NYCHA tells News 12 that because the project was partially eligible for funding, it has been working with other agencies to make sure residents can benefit from the generous investment as quickly as possible.
However, many at the center say 2 1/2 years is more than enough time.
