A mother is remembering her son by giving back to the community almost a year after he was shot and killed at a sweet 16.
Stephanie Garcia's son, Sincear Williams, was shot and killed outside of Maestro's Catering Hall last December.
Garcia is now working with the Trinity Evangelical Lutheran Church, where Williams was baptized, to honor his memory.
The church was filled with gifts and music for children in honor of Williams. There was also a wall decorated with photos of victims affected by gun violence.
Garcia says she hopes to fulfill her mission of opening a community center to take kids off the streets and prevent another face from being posted to the wall. Garcia says she is hoping to spread the word through her organization, Forever Sincear Inc.
