Volunteers with the nonprofit group Emergency Rights sorted donations and folded clothes Thursday in Mott Haven to help survivors of Hurricane Irma in the Caribbean.
They were already collecting similar donations to help victims of an earlier devastating storm this season -- Hurricane Harvey in Texas. Now they will also ship supplies to Puerto Rico and Florida.
They are accepting donations at the group's headquarters at 138th Street and Alexander Avenue.
They are collecting things like water and canned goods and say they need diapers and baby clothes most.
