A Mott Haven woman is pleading for someone to return her service dog that she says was stolen.
Zoraida Miha says her service dog, Chico, was taken away while she was walking him on Prospect Avenue without a leash.
Miha got the 3-year-old Pomeranian mix as a present only seven months ago.
She says she has many health problems and suffers from depression, and Chico was able to get her out of bed every morning. She also says she has major issues with her knees, which is why she was walking him without a leash last Tuesday night. Miha says she's afraid of tripping and falling when Chico circles around her with the leash.
She adds it was dark outside that night, and when she tried to catch up to him after he ran in a different direction, people in the area said a man quickly picked him up and left.
"I have not been able to eat, sleep, or think without him. I'd appreciate if somebody seen him, can they please bring him back to me? Please bring my baby back. I really miss him and I'm so used to him. I can't even sleep without him. I can't live without him," says Miha.
