MTA officials unveil new public safety ad campaign
Officials have unveiled a new public safety campaign that puts a human face to a well-known post-9/11 slogan.
The "New Yorkers Keep New York Safe" advertising campaign features actual residents who have reported suspicious packages or activities.
The MTA public safety campaign incorporates the real stories into videos. The customers describe the scenarios they experienced that prompted them to report suspicious packages or activities.
Officials say the goal with the new campaign is to show commuters how easy it is to report a suspicious package or activity, and remind them that they have a crucial role to play in keeping the city safe.
The ads will be featured online, on mobile devices and on Facebook.
