A seven-time Grammy-nominated musician performed for Bronx residents Monday at the Bronx Music Heritage Center.
Bobby Sanabria, a Latin musician, grew up in the Bronx and educated residents about the roots of Latin music.
He used different percussion instruments to teach his audience about the five beats at the heart of Latin music, also known as "la clave."
Sanabria used his drums to illustrate the evolution of salsa music.
