Two Bronx musicians are trying to help stop violence in the city's subway system through music.
Fresh 2 Life performed at the 149th Street - Grand Concourse subway station on Sunday, and talked to riders about love and peace.
The drummers, who first started performing underground five years ago, say their beats are designed to bring people together.
"We're just trying to put something different in people's minds and heads, so they see life a little different, a little better," says subway performer Chezurleyah Naftali.
Even though the MTA prohibits people from performing on trains, Fresh 2 Life says it rarely has negative encounters with law enforcement.
Fresh 2 Life says it plans on auditioning for the MTA's "Music Under New York" program, which awards musicians with permits to perform in subway stations.
