Neighbors: 2 dogs left in locked car all day
Concerned neighbors in Norwood say they witnessed two dogs trapped in a car all day.
They say the car was parked all day with two dogs locked inside. Luis Gonzalez, the owner of the car and dogs, said he couldn't remember where he parked the vehicle.
"I parked the car, went and took my medication, and forgot where I parked it," he said.
Gonzalez found the car at around 3:45 p.m. Sunday.
Neighbors wanted to get the dogs out, but they feared breaking the law and for their own safety. Police said there was nothing they could do unless there was inclement weather and no food or water in the car.
Authorities say if a situation like this occurs, witnesses should not try to break into the car themselves and instead call animal care or police.
