Neighbors fume over parking restrictions
Several Bronx neighbors are fuming over the parking situation in their area.
Natural gas work has closed parking spaces around East 180th Street and Ryer Avenue - a neighborhood where residents say parking is already scarce.
Even under normal conditions, only police are authorized to park along a stretch of the road. With the ongoing construction, residents say parking is a nightmare.
The residents sent a petition to state Assemblyman Victor Pichardo and to the NYPD's 46th Precinct asking for a resolution.
Con Edison says it is replacing the neighborhood's gas system and that the work should be completed by the end of the month.
