A new affordable and supportive housing development has opened for business on Webster Avenue.

The Webster is a 170-unit building that also holds a computer lab, on-site laundry and a fitness room. It uses green technology.

It's the newest building opened by Breaking Ground, a nonprofit supportive housing provider.

Some of the units will go toward housing the formerly homeless. Others will go to low-income and special-needs Bronx residents.

It shares space with Park House, another similar development. Together, they offer 418 affordable housing units.
