A state-of-the-art flight simulator was officially unveiled Friday morning at Bronx Aerospace High School.
Students in Deion Griffiths aviation class now have the opportunity to gain skills and training to become FAA-certified pilots.
Private sponsors and elected officials helped to raise money for the $100,000 Redbird Aviation Simulator.
"When you're in this it's more than a video game," says student Adrian Santiago. "It's more like real life experience. It feels like you're in an actual plane."
The school tells News 12 that the simulator is also creating an interest and overall excitement in STEM subjects.
