New Geospatial Center at Bronx Community College could help solve global issues
Students at Bronx Community College are getting familiar with new technology that could help solve global issues.
The new Geospatial Center at the school allows students to collect data and create maps that can focus on virtually any topic.
With the data collected, students can observe issues such as crime patterns and climate change in areas across the world.
Dr. Sunil Bhaskaran, director of the Geospatial Center, says the new technology will help fill about 300,000 jobs all over the world.
The classes are free and open to the public. Potential students must sign up online.
