The new city chancellor of schools visited classrooms across the Bronx Monday.
Chancellor Richard Carranza began his school tour with UPK and U3K students at Concourse Elementary.
Students, staff and families met the new schools chancellor who previously served as Houston schools superintendent.
Carranza says the 1.1 million students in New York are the future, and he looks forward to ensuring they all succeed.
The chancellor will eventually travel to all the other boroughs to visit schools.
