A new food pantry designed to aid seniors in Mott Haven invited News 12 cameras inside Tuesday.
The New York Common Pantry's first Bronx location opened in December at 423 East 138th St.
The United States Department of Agriculture and the New York State Department of Health granted funding to the pantry through a program called Nourish, which provides healthy food and education about nutrition to senior citizens.
Pantry officials say about 10 percent of seniors in New York City are "food insecure."
