New Yorkers took to the streets in Belmont Thursday night to celebrate an annual street festival.
While the smoke from ongoing air quality issues remains in the skies, it's not stopping the festivities taking place in the heart of the Bronx's Little Italy.
Family and friends filled the streets to celebrate Our Lady of Mt. Carmel Church's annual feast of Saint Anthony, enjoying rides, games, and lots of sweets.
Many people say that because of the improvement in air quality from Wednesday to today, they're willing to step outside to take place in the tradition.
The air quality alert is set to end tomorrow at midnight, and people will be looking forward to returning to Belmont to take part in the festival until it ends on Sunday.
