The adult children of a Bronx woman who died recently received parking tickets while they were attending her funeral, according to the funeral director.
Jimmy Sorge and Kathleen Connelly parked outside the funeral parlor in spaces designated for mourners' use and with signs indicating why they were there on their dashboards. But those spaces are flanked by two other signs that say "No Parking."
Ronald Schnepf, the funeral director, says he feels that the area has always been unofficially designated for funeral business, but in the last few weeks, police have issued more than 10 tickets there.
