No trick-or-treating or costume masks: CDC releases recommendations for Halloween amid pandemic
The Centers for Disease
Control and Prevention is encouraging people to avoid most of the fun Halloween
activities this year amid the coronavirus pandemic.
The agency recommends no
trick-or-treating, no costume masks, and no indoor costume parties or haunted
houses.
According to the CDC, those
activities are all high-risk.
The CDC does suggest some
low-risk activities, such as carving pumpkins or decorating your home.
The agency also says people could
have outdoor scavenger hunts, virtual costume contests or a movie night.
