Three sisters from Westchester are helping a 20-year-old Bronx man look for a kidney donor.

Jennifer, Cynthia and Heather Flood started the nonprofit Flood Sisters Kidney Foundation of America to match patients with living donors after they successfully found a match to help their father. 

They are now hoping they can help Robert Rodriguez as well, who has been living with kidney disease since he was 12.

Patients waiting for a kidney transplant from a non-living donor can wait up to 10 years or more before a match is found. However, chances of survival and good health increase when a living donor is used because there is no wait list involved.
