A small army of volunteers from the national nonprofit Rebuilding Together is building a home addition in Williamsbridge to salute a Bronx veteran's military service.
The group has been renovating and repairing homes around the United States for more than 40 years.
The New York Chapter deployed its team to help David Gaymon with a six-week, $80,000 overhaul that includes installing wheelchair access so the vet can access all of the areas in his own home.
Young workers preparing for careers in construction, in addition to helping a vet for Veterans Day, say they are gaining useful work experience and field training.
