As the recent warm weather nears becoming an official heat wave, a family-run ice cream stand has seen a spike in business at Williamsbridge Oval Park.
The Valarezo family runs the stand for 10 hours a day, seven days a week, rain or shine.
But hot weather helps their sales.
Armando Mendoza says the family has helped out needy community members too.
"People come up, 'I have no money,' and they take care of them," he says. "It's just nice to see."
