NYPD: 2 police officers injured in Pelham Gardens car crash

Authorities say officers were responding to reports of gunfire when they ran into two other cars at around 7:55 a.m. on East Gun Hill Road and Knapp Street.

Three people, including two NYPD officers, were injured during a car crash Saturday morning in Pelham Gardens.
Authorities say officers were responding to reports of gunfire when they ran into two other cars at around 7:55 a.m. on East Gun Hill Road and Knapp Street.
The two officers were hospitalized for injuries not considered life-threatening. A 24-year-old man refused medical attention and a 39-year-old man was also treated for a hand injury.
