A body was found in East New York
early Tuesday, according to the NYPD.
Police say the body was found around 8 a.m. at the corner of Linwood Street and
Linden Boulevard.
They say the victim is a man in his 60s.
Several people in the neighborhood told News 12 they saw the victim's body
being carried out of an apartment.
One man who wanted to remain anonymous says he saw two people pushing the body,
which was covered up with a sheet on a chair, out of the building on 2305
Linden St.
"I try and say to him, 'The foot
is dragging,' and he kept like
pushing and it looked to me like he was dead," the anonymous source says.
A woman who lives in the
building that the body was taken out of says she was horrified to hear about
what happened.
"It's bad, I don't wanna go back in there," she says. "It's very
scary, very scary."
There were no obvious signs of
trauma.
The victim has not been
identified.
A medical examiner will
determine the exact cause of death.
Investigators are still searching the area and asking neighboring businesses
for any surveillance video.
