The NYPD celebrated mothers during an event in Mott Haven on Thursday ahead of Mother’s Day.

About 100 moms attended the event at the NYC Health and Hospitals/Gotham Health, Belvis.

The event featured yoga, Zumba, live music and food. There were also informational tables where parents were able to learn more about schools in the area and other activities for their children.

The NYPD Community Affairs Bureau says it is always looking for unique ways to engage with the residents of New York City.

This is the first Mother's Day event it has put on, and community affairs says it will be holding this same event in every borough within the next couple of weeks.
