NYPD: Man fatally shot wife on Morris Ave.
A Bronx man allegedly gunned down his wife as she sat in a parked car with another man Sunday, according to police.
Officers of the NYPD's 52nd Precinct arrested Amauri Perdomo Monday night in connection with the fatal shooting on Morris Avenue that left Jennifer Ortiz, 27, dead.
News 12 previously reported that Ortiz, a mother of four, was sitting in the car Sunday morning when her husband approached and the two began to argue. Witnesses allege that Perdomo hit Ortiz during the argument.
Witnesses say a man inside the car with Ortiz got out to confront Perdomo, who then allegedly brandished a handgun. According to witnesses, Perdomo turned to his wife and shot her several times.
Perdomo declined to comment as police led him, in handcuffs, out of the precinct building and into a squad car.
