OEM sets up mobile office in Hunts Point
The city's Office of Emergency Management set up a mobile office in Monsignor del Valle Park in Hunts Point to help residents learn about the Legionnaires' outbreak.
The office gave residents an opportunity to learn about emergency preparedness, coordination and planning.
The mobile van and tent also gave residents an opportunity to learn more about the agency's role in education and preparedness.
Pamphlets on the disease are available in more than four different languages. The fliers include information on the most frequently asked questions about legionnella, including symptoms, treatment and who is most at risk.
This was the first of a five-borough tour. It's next stop is Red Hook in Brooklyn on Thursday.
