Off-duty police officer punched in the face in the Bronx
A man is accused of assaulting an off-duty police officer in the Bronx.
It happened Tuesday night near East Gun Hill Road and Gunther Avenue. 
Police say the officer got involved in a dispute with the suspect before the suspect punched him in the face. 
The officer was taken to the hospital for treatment.
Police say the man fled the scene, and no arrests have been made.
