Officer killed in the Bronx honored posthumously

A police officer in the Bronx who was killed in the line of duty has received one of the NYPD's highest honors.  Commissioner Bill Bratton presented the family of Officer Michael Williams with the NYPD

Officer killed in the Bronx honored posthumously
A police officer in the Bronx who was killed in the line of duty has received one of the NYPD's highest honors. 
Commissioner Bill Bratton presented the family of Officer Michael Williams with the NYPD Purple Shield. 
Williams was killed in September of last year when a police van he was riding in crashed into a concrete barrier on the Bruckner Expressway. 
Eight other officers were injured in the accident.
