A fire broke out inside of a home Saturday evening.

The flames burst through the home on West Haviland Lane in the Long Ridge section of Stamford, around 4:30 p.m.

Firefighters from multiple towns responded to help knock down the blaze.

Officials say the fire started in the basement of the house.

Officials say no one was injured in the fire, but the family was unable to return to the home, and was forced to relocate.

The cause is under investigation.
