Officials: Police shoot, injure gun-wielding man in Brooklyn
One man was injured in a police-involved shooting early Sunday morning in Prospect-Lefferts Gardens.
The incident happened on Rogers and Lefferts avenues around 7:20 a.m.
Authorities say a 31-year-old man pointed a firearm at police officers and three officers returned fire.
Authorities say the man was taken to King County Hospital, and is in critical condition.
Officials say no officers were injured, but one was taken to Methodist Hospital as a precaution.
A resident told News 12 she heard at least five gunshots followed by a 10- to 20-second break, and then 10 more gunshots after that.
