Officials say a police-involved shooting in Concourse Village early Saturday morning left a 21-year-old man in critical condition.

Officials say a police-involved shooting in Concourse Village early Saturday morning left a 21-year-old man in critical condition.
They say two officers were responding to a call of a person with a firearm along East 167th Street and Grant Avenue just after 12:30 a.m.
Police say the officers then saw a man fitting the suspect's description with a weapon in hand. News 12 is told the man pointed the weapon at the officers, and that the officers fired and hit him in the torso.
Police say the officers provided aid to the suspect and called EMS to the scene. Officials say the weapon that was pointed at the officers was a fake gun with a knife at the tip.
The suspect was taken to NYC Health + Hospitals/Lincoln where he is in critical condition. News 12 is told the incident was captured on the officers' body cameras.
