According to parents at P.S. 46, a letter was sent home saying that due to overcrowding, students must immediately enroll somewhere else.
The Department of Education (DOE) says schools have until Oct. 31 to move students who were on a wait list or who had registered for the first time.
The United Federation of Teachers (UFT) has reported that more than half of all New York City schools are currently at over-capacity.
