A group of middle school parents is demanding the removal of their children’s school principal and asking for the Department of Education to take action.
Parents held up protest signs outside I.S 224 demanding for the school principal, Patricia Catania, be fired on the last day of school.

Protesters claim that Catania prevents educators from teaching black and Latin history to students.
News 12 reached out to the Department of Education about the accusations and is waiting for a response.
