It's been a week and a half since a bishop in the Bronx resigned amid sexual abuse allegations, and parishioners rallied Friday to show their support for him.
More than 100 church members came out to show their support for auxiliary Bishop John Jenik. He is accused of having a relationship with a teenage boy the 1980s.
After he resigned last week, Jenik denied the claim in a letter to his parish.
Parishioners say they believe him and are marching to show that they are loyal to him and want him to come back to Our Lady of Refuge Church.
An advocate for the alleged victim was ready to confront the marching parishioners, holding up his own sign saying Jenik is guilty.
The Archdiocese of New York said in a letter that the charges are credible but that is up to the Holy See now to make the final judgement.
