Pastor, nightclub owner team up for food giveaway
A pastor and the owner of a soon-to-be-reopened nightclub teamed up for a food giveaway in West Farms.
In about 30 minutes, 250 turkeys and 250 bags of food were gone. People were spotted waiting in line since 11:30 a.m. for the event that started at 3 p.m.
The Tropicana nightclub, where the giveaway was held, will reopen in a couple of week under new owners.
The lead pastor and founder of the Prodigal Center asked to team up with the club to hold the giveaway to connect and do something for the community.
The pastor and club say there are plans in the works for a toy drive in December.
